{"id":118,"date":"2009-04-05T09:39:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-05T15:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sashen.com\/blog\/?p=118"},"modified":"2009-04-05T13:47:56","modified_gmt":"2009-04-05T19:47:56","slug":"spiritual-schmiritual","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sashen.com\/blog\/118\/spiritual-schmiritual\/","title":{"rendered":"Spiritual Schmiritual"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, in my last post, I mentioned my desire to be so divorced from all things spiritual and personal development-ish, that I couldn&#8217;t even be called a critic.<\/p>\n<p>But before I could do that, I need to know the terrain I&#8217;m leaving.<\/p>\n<p>After all, if I want to get out of the game, I need to know where the edge of the game board is so I can make sure that once I step off, I&#8217;m off.<\/p>\n<p>That said, I&#8217;m inspired to ask these 2 questions:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>What is spirituality?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>What constitutes personal development?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These words are used so casually, so flippantly, as if everyone knows what they mean.<\/p>\n<p>But, seriously, what do they mean? What&#8217;s spiritual and what&#8217;s not?
